The Game Is A Foot
This new Guy Ritchie effort is more deemed classic than what would normally be expected from the c word loving director, I went to see it with high expectations and wasn't disappointed, Both Downey Jr and Jude Law are impressive and are the best double act I've seen since Shearer and Sutton, there are a few bits that can drag on a little but the action scenes more than make up for this. Mark Strong plays the great dark arts pursuer Lord Blackwood, who makes you sit up and listen every time he makes a screen appearance.
The Holmes fight scenes are superb throughout with Richie's love for Brazilian Jujitsu, for which he is also a practitioner of, there is eye candy for boys & the girls , Rachel McAdam's who plays Irene Adler is a great additional to the cast, with her good looks and ladylike appearance to pull the wool even over Holmes eyes at times.
Overall this is an all rounding entertaining old fashioned in the sense, mystery, if you are not a fan of the Richie overview, I feel you should bite the bullet and trot on down to your nearest multiplex.
